belongs to the rock forming mineral called feldspat and this gemstone has been loved for its obvious and beautiful resemblance to moonlight. The Moonstone has a white or bluish almost mother-of-pearl like ‘lunar’ glow that moves across the stone as it moves in the light. This is called adulation.
