To help my youngest daughter overcome her fear of flight I tried to explain to her what was going to happen during our flight. I made a drawing of the path the aeroplane would be going through before reaching the cruising height and the path for getting us back down on the ground.
These sketches are the source of inspiration for this ring; a ring constructed of circles – with an illusion of movement.
The ring is designed to show the aeroplane moving across the sky, but also gives the association of a falling star, the sun moving over the sky, or maybe even the symbol of life…
